Belfor was the contractor picked by my insurance company after a water leak in my condo (I am an owner) and I decided to go with them to save me hassles. I do not recommend them. PM non-responsive to text messages, would not return phone calls or emails. PM did not know about abatement issues until I told him, assistant and PM wouldn't confirm what work I was agreeing too, so forced to sign off anyway to get the work started. I would give them Zero stars. My new home flooded, and my adjuster recommended them to me. I found out through her that her son was friends with the property manager by accident (I am pretty sure she wanted to kick herself for telling me) My basement had a lot of the boxes that we moved in with get wet so Belfor had to empty everything and put things in clear bags... we had a tv under the stairs in the basement that did not get wet... they opened the box and took the tv and left the box as though there was something in it. I had such a bad experience. The company does not care about customers. They are not trained and experienced enough to make decisions in the homeowners, best interest. I experienced arrogance, incompetence, and a complete inability to accept that the homeowner may have a better idea or plan The ego and arrogance that was presented from Bell for representative is disgusting. They work for the insurance company not for the homeowner. They do not have the experience and knowledge and resources to assist homeowner. If you were... read more

With having house insurance claim for the first time ever in my life, the whole claim process was very overwhelming. My project manager at Belfor was patient with all my questions and concerns. The whole process was done in a timely matter with only minor set backs. The only recommendation I would make it have some sort of booklet to give homeowners regarding what to expect during insurance claims. It would very helpful for homeowners during this stressful time.

Kevin Poomen is the BEST project manager! So kind during a difficult time. He explained everything and kept in touch with updates. Coordinating crews is not an easy task in Alberta today and Kevin was always available to answer questions and provide reassurance.
