After an earthquake brought our attention to cracks in the basement, Darren Ward came out and assessed them expertly and honestly. Always polite and positive, he was able to reassure us that the damage was minimal, explained how to fix it, and gave us peace of mind that it would not affect the value of our property. Ultimately, his honesty saved us from having to file a claim or hire an expensive contractor.

I have to send this praise out to my project manager, Darren. He was right there from the very beginning. He was encouraging, compassionate and a solid rock to lean on. Avoid at all costs! They take advantage of disastrous situations and steal precious belongings from families who have already lost everything. After our house fire we had the misfortune of dealing with Belfor Restoration, we were told nothing would be thrown out unless burnt beyond recognition. We lost countless irreplaceable items that were not burnt in the fire but stolen by Belfor employees. When asked about items they will simply lie to your face. The water tubing behind our fridge sprung a leak and before we finally noticed it, the wood flooring in our kitchen warped and the seams separated. After shutting off the water, we called Belfor and they came out and removed the damaged flooring and placed dryers to dry out the waterlogged subfloor. My insurance company was using Belfor for the purposes of doing restoration of our basement when we had a sewer backup. Belfor has been consistently non-communicative and non-responsive when it has come to quotes or scheduling repairs. We are organizing to use an altogether different restoration company after four months of dragged heels. It has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend!
